    I bought the Samsung 32" Touch of Colour when it was first released. I set it up in my room then got the crazy idea to hook it up to my laptop...wow...the picture on it is amazing!
    Played some blu-ray on it and couldn't believe the goodness I was seeing.

    That 20000:1 contrast ratio that Asus is promoting is a joke. You're not going to get that high even with a LED/LCD panel. The dynamic backlighting technologies only get you so far.

    I've compared the contrast ratios looking for monitors and TV's. I don't understand the claims or how they even arrive at those high contrast ratios (neither do most sales associates.) I think at some point you can't even tell the difference between higher and lower contrast screens. as long as the blacks look black, that's good for me.
