SolidSmack: FREE Certified SolidWorks Professional Exam

  • Bruce Buck · 2 years ago
I feel sorry for the chumps that might have recently taken the exam, not knowing about this. Kinda like the iphone ordeal...

I'm wondering why the promotion, though. Are there not enough people interested in taking the exam? Are they trying to push numbers for some marketing/PR reason?

I took it 2 years ago. Even if you don't get in on the promotion, I think it it's well worth the price. If it's for free, then you have no excuse not to try. I wonder how many people have signed up?

yeah, if I ahd just taken it I would feel pretty ripped off. I'm would hope they would give refunds in that case. I think it's to make it a little more attractive and it would be nice to know how many jumped on this.

    Hey Josh,
I got this information kind of late for the sign up dead line. Do you think it will be offered again since I would love to be able to be certified so I can continue to do my volunteer teaching in our schools with SolidWorks.

You may want to contact your VAR and see if it's still available or see if they can work something out. Otherwise, you'll have an opportunity at SOlidWorks World if you're able to go.

I want this too! What is a VAR? Solidworks World? Time to Google this stuff...
  • Josh · 1 year ago
A VAR is a "Vallue Added Reseller" for SolidWorks. The sell the software. SolidWorks World is the yearly conference, beginning of each year that has a bunch of technical sessions and get-togethers along an exhibit hall of Program Partners that work with SolidWorks and Keynote addresses from interesting people.

Just wonder if anyone interested in exchanging his/her old Solidworks cswp test paper for test preparation? I took the test a while ago but didn't pass. In my opinion, the cswp test is 50% SW knowledge testing and 50% speed modeling testing. I guess it would definitely help to do more practicing problem.
