If you really don't want to receive any more emails from somebody try this:

" This computer has been infected with a virus from john.doe@company.com. This virus poses an ongoing threat - in order to avoid a possible computer crash you must refrain from sending any more emails to this address "

Should slow down your emails until I.T. investigates......

Those are good Josh - And John - nice! I know that would fool most of the folks I deal with and their company is small enough there is no IT.

Generally I have been straight up with my bosses. I can think of two instances I told my boss "I am not feeling well today *wink wink, I have some friends with the day off and we're going 4-wheeling". It wasn't a problem since I made sure I was caught up at work and had gobs of sick time to use.

The other time, I told him I was going to be sick next Monday. Took him a while to catch up with that one. But wouldn't you rather know ahead of time if you were the boss?

I like #7 the best since my job does seem like a 3 ring circus at times.
