  • I just completed an installation of SolidWorks 2008 on a Macbook Pro running Bootcamp.

Last week I installed SolidWorks 2007 on a Macbook running Parallels.

Other than a mouse glitch on the system running Parallels that was easily resolved, both systems seem to run pretty well.

  • Have you run into any problems since your installation?
I'm a drafter and want to start picking up side work, but I'm a Mac-guy, and don't have the money for a top of the line MacBook Pro, so I was wondering how well 2007 runs on your MacBook. Are the graphics acceptable? Any major glitches, besides the normal Solidworks one's? Thank you, in advance.
  • Talk with Ben Eadie at SolidMentor. He uses SolidWorks exclusively on the Mac. Contact me josh (at) solidsmack(dot)com if you would like his contact.
